Seemingly out of nowhere, a short 15-second teaser for Modern Warfare 2 was released via Twitter today showcasing what appears to be Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with almost no context.
The iconic laugh and armor features are what gave it away, but still, there is no context as to how Shredder, also known as Oroku Saki, will be added to the game. Will he become a purchasable skin? Or is he going to be a Warzone boss that players will need to conquer? It isn't yet clear why Shredder is making an appearance, but you won't find me complaining about it. TMNT is extremely nostalgic for many of us, so the fact that we got a peek at the armor that we might just be able to sport as we blast opponents is cool in itself.
This could also mean that there will be a crossover of some kind headed to MW2, whether it may only be Shredder himself or perhaps some actual Ninja Turtles could be thrown in as well. If it does end up being a crossover, it would be neat to take on the role of Donatello or Mikey as you traverse the battlefield, or even be able to wield their weapons in combat. Again, none of these details have been released as of yet.

Taking a look at previous updates, it might be that Shredder will become a skin to obtain either by using COD points or completing challenges. But on the other hand, it could mean he might become a boss, such as King Kong during one of the Warzone community events, but on a much smaller scale as Shredder isn't the size of a building.
As more details are released, we will be sure to update you in regard to what's to come, but until then, we at least know to expect some rendition of Shredder entering the game on March 21, 2023.
