Today NIS America and FuRyu announced that the JRPG The Caligula Effect: Overdose is getting a new platform and is coming to PlayStation 5.
The game was originally released for PS Vita in Japan in 2016 as simply "Caligula" and then localized in the west as "The Caligula Effect" the following year. It was then remastered as "The Caligula Effect: Overdose" for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC between 2018 and 2019.
It's a dystopian JRPG set into a virtual world where people can live a peaceful school life while forgetting all their problems written by Tadashi Satomi, who penned the first two Persona games.
