Fans of Awfully Nice Studios' Pang-like title The Bug Butcher have some exciting news to look forward to, as a press release from Triangle Studios has just announced that the title will have its console release beginning on October 18, 2016. The indie title, originally released on January 19, 2016, has had a popular following on Steam, and the Netherland-based Triangle Studios will be teaming up with Awfully Nice Studios to finally bring the game to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles.
Earlier in the year, Censored Gaming and TechRaptor broke the news that the Australian ratings board had denied The Bug Butcher a rating classification, effectively banning the game from being sold in that country. This later resulted in one of the in-game items undergoing a name and animation change by Awfully Nice Studios to remove references to drug use while the game was pending re-judgement by the Australian ratings board.
The Bug Butcher will be available for purchase for the PlayStation 4 beginning October 18, 2016, and the Xbox One on October 19, 2016, for $9.99, and is currently available for purchase on Steam for $7.99. If you want to learn more about The Bug Butcher, check out our review here.

Quick TakeGlad to see The Bug Butcher finally being brought over to consoles, although I am puzzled by the choice of publishing partner as, even by indie game standards, Triangle Studios hasn't been involved in very many big-name game releases. Still, The Bug Butcher is a fun little title and I hope to see more out of Awfully Nice Studios in the future.
