Budget Cuts

It appears the budget is being slashed again. VR stealth game Budget Cuts is often considered one of the best of the early batch, and now its sequel has a release date. You'll be able to grab Budget Cuts 2: Mission Insolvency on December 12th, 2019.

Originally announced back in June, Budget Cuts 2 puts you in the role of a man sneaking through a world of robots. Thankfully, he has a portal maker that lets him get around. Both opening up portals for him to look through and giving him a way to travel by stepping through the portals, Budget Cuts 2 sees you getting around and taking on the robots. Of course, you will be armed, as you have a bow and arrow and some throwing knives to assist you. Also, you can just always grab something in the environment and beat a robot to death with it. There's no law against that. The trailer sees the character killing some robots on a rooftop and then disposing of their bodies by just throwing them down to street level. Another scene saw the player engaging in a fistfight with a robot on top of a train, which is where most spies tend to have fistfights anyway.

Budget Cuts 2 is being developed by Neat Corporation, the developer of the original Budget Cuts. They'll also be getting some help from Fast Travel Games, who worked on VR first-person shooter Apex Construct and are currently working on VR puzzle game The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets.

Budget Cuts 2: Mission Insolvency will be launching on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift on December 12th.
