Upcoming multiplayer action game Ninjala won't launch until next spring. The game originally had a spring 2019 release date.

Developer GungHo Online Entertainment says it wants to polish the game and implement improvements prior to final release. The studio's executive producer Kazuki Morishita says the delay will help to create a "more reliable online experience" for players. GungHo is also planning to add more content to Ninjala to make for a richer experience. We don't yet know what this new content will look like. Despite the delay, GungHo uploaded a new teaser trailer to its official YouTube channel. You can check out that trailer here:

Ninjala is a ninja-themed multiplayer action game for Nintendo Switch. The game was announced at E3 2018. GungHo describes Ninjala as an "online PvP Ninja Gum action game" in which players morph their Ninja Gums into weapons. The game will also include parkour mechanics to aid traversal and add an extra dimension to combat. It'll support up to 8 players and will feature both local and online multiplayer. There's no word on whether the game will feature any kind of single-player campaign. Aesthetically, Ninjala gives off pretty strong Splatoon-meets-Arms vibes. It's a shame this one won't be coming out as soon as we'd hoped. Still, we'll definitely check it out when it launches next year.

GungHo Online Entertainment is a video game publisher based in Japan. The studio's other projects include the Grandia II HD remaster, Grasshopper's Let It Die, and Puzzle & Dragons. GungHo is led by former Square Enix and XSEED Games exec Jun Iwasaki. It describes itself as publishing and distributing "network-oriented games" for multiple platforms. Ninjala is the studio's latest game and will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. We don't have a specific release date for the game yet, so watch this space.
