It's been a long road for Broforce, the side scrolling co-op action game filled with characters who are legally different from your favorite 80s and 90s movie heroes. Everyone from Robocop to The Terminator to Rambo to The Bride are represented by their doppelgangers in a universe filled with mooks to shoot, choppers to get to, and empty flag poles waiting to become 100% more patriotic. The game has been in Early Access for years, and development will finally hit completion on October 15th.

In their announcement, developer Free Lives promises that the final stage of the campaign will be implemented, which involves the group of freedom fighters (a group that includes serial numbers filed off versions of Conan The Barbarian, Neo and Indiana Jones) charging their way into Hell to fight against Satan himself. For America. Free Lives also announced a five song Freedom EP that will be bundled with the game up until release as a reward to their Early Access customers. A song from said EP is included below in video form. For America.

Broforce is currently available on Steam Early Access for $15, and that price will be the same come launch day on October 15th. For those looking for a free taste of the game, the completely free Expendables themed Broforce expansion The Expendabros is also available here.

(Seriously, Rambo, Mr. T, and Judge Dredd are in this game!*)

*Legally, Rambo, Mr. T, and Judge Dredd are not in Broforce

Quick Take

In the interest of full disclosure, I will tell you that Broforce has been close to the top of my most anticipated full releases for almost three years now. The multitude of different characters and the chaos you can cause with them in the Early Access version is nothing short of magnificent, and I very much look forward to finally completing my campaign with Rambro and the team.

Are you excited for Broforce? Are you American? Do you love apple pie, baseball, and rockets careening into a group of masked men? Answer these questions and more in the comments below!
