The Bloody Harvest is nothing new to the Borderlands franchise, and the third installment of the series is continuing the tradition of celebrating the spookiest time of the year with another edition of this limited-time event.

Beginning from October 24th to December 5th, players can enjoy the Bloody Harvest in Borderlands 3, which will feature new legendary guns, weapon and character skins, grenade mods, and more. Just as exciting is the opportunity to delve into the bone-chilling depths of Heck.

Appearing in Sanctuary III is Maurice, who gives players a quest to slay "Haunted" enemies found throughout the different planets of Borderlands 3 and collect their Hecktoplasm. Once players get enough Hecktoplasm, they can venture into the depths of Heck itself and fight " freaky fauna including flying, fire-breathing Rakk-o'-Lanterns and wretched Ratch that gorged themselves on blood" as well as undead Maliwan troops. The goal is to kill Captain Haunt (not to be mistaken as Captain Traunt from the main story).

Some gear during this event is exclusive to Heck, or only available to get from October 24th to December 5th. Enemies in Heck can drop certain new items like a legendary shotgun called the Fearmonger, while other items "play off the new Terror mechanic" which is a debuff that shrouds a player's vision and decreases their accuracy, spread, and gun handling once inflicted. Some cosmetics, like player skins, are unlocked by completing challenges, but you don't have to be in Heck for you to progress and get these rewards.

The Bloody Harvest event for Borderlands 3 begins on October 24th and ends on December 5th, so there's plenty of time to reap the rewards from this event.

Quick Take

So, this gives me a solid day to enjoy the Bloody Harvest until The Outer Worlds comes out the next day. Still, I'm excited to try it out, and there's plenty of time to get everything you can from this event. I hope that, after this event, we get a look at the upcoming and inevitable DLC for Borderlands 3, though. I played the heck out of this game, so I'm ravenous for more content. This'll do... for now.
