It seems like those looking to get the download done for Borderlands 3 a little early have some good news coming their way. 2K has announced that Borderlands 3 will support pre-loading on the Epic Games Store after all.
Pre-loading was one of the features that was most requested for the Epic Games Store. Back in August it was finally rolled out, but only for a few games. One of the games that didn't get it was Borderlands 3, despite the fact that it's likely the most popular game coming to the Epic Games Store. At the time Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeny said the following in a tweet as to why Borderlands 3 didn't include it:
It’s Complicated. We’ve released support for file preloading which is sufficient for some games, but we aren’t certain it’s up to the demands of a blockbuster like Borderlands.
However, it seems like a solution has been found. Today 2K has announced that Borderlands 3 will have pre-loading. You'll be able to start downloading the game 48 hours before its official launch on September 13th.
Borderlands 3 is probably one of the most anticipated games of 2019. The looter shooter features four vault hunters as they travel the galaxy and take on a cult that has mysterious goals.
