Indie flight strategy game Bomber Crew will launch July 10th on consoles, developer Runner Duck Games has confirmed.

The news comes after Bomber Crew was featured as part of Microsoft's ID@Xbox E3 2018 spotlight. Runner Duck Games then issued a press release in which they disclosed the launch date, as well as a few other details regarding the console versions of Bomber Crew.

The game has been out for some time on Steam, originally releasing back in October 2017. Since then, the game has received DLC in the form of the "Secret Weapons" pack. The pack sees players taking their bomber through the "Big Week" of World War II, in the winter of 1944. Secret Weapons adds extra missions, new customization options and advanced upgrades to the player's armaments. Bomber Crew for consoles will launch with the season pass immediately available for purchase, which includes Secret Weapons, as well as another unannounced DLC pack which is due to launch Q2 this year.

To commemorate the launch date, publisher Curve Digital uploaded a new "announcement trailer" to YouTube. You can check out that trailer here:

In addition to launching with all current extra content, Bomber Crew on consoles will also feature the new Infinite Mode, as well as online leaderboards to compare their scores. These features will also be added to the PC version of Bomber Crew on the same day, so don't worry if you already own the game.

Described by its developer, Runner Duck Games, as a "strategic simulator game", Bomber Crew sees players take control of a World War II bomber jet and its crew. Players must "recruit, train, and upgrade their very own WWII flight team" in order to launch air campaigns against their enemy. Within the game's first 2 weeks on sale for PC, it managed to generate over $1 million in revenue.

Bomber Crew will be released for PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on July 10th.
