The latest lady to join the cast of HuniePop 2 has been revealed on the developer's official Twitter: Brooke Belrose, aunt of fan-favorite Audrey Belrose from the first game.
HuniePop 2 is the sequel to 2015's HuniePop, a game that mashed together Match 3 gameplay with a dating simulator. The gameplay alone was entertaining enough, but its style of humor and the healthy amount of sexual content also contributed to its success.
A sequel was announced last year, and since then we've seen a few character reveals for the new game's upcoming cast. Another lady has finally been added to the mix: Brooke Belrose.
The family name Belrose may sound familiar to HuniePop fans - it's the surname of Audrey Belrose, the foul-mouthed girl with ever-changing hairstyles who quickly became a polarizing character due to her brash behavior and tsundere demeanor.
Brooke Belrose is related to Audrey by marriage and is considered her aunt. While she's 40 years of age, she is an unapologetic gold digger and has spent no small amount of her husband's money on plastic surgery to keep herself looking young. Every character has to have their flaws, and Mrs. Belrose's preference for Wedge Heels may be nigh-unforgivable for some of the more fashion-conscious folks out there.
This new gal is the 12th addition to the game's cast of characters. An August 2018 Hunie Direct stated that there would be 12 girls in the game (not counting Kyu), meaning that we may be getting one more core character after this. In any case, it seems like we're getting towards the tail end of character announcements for HuniePop 2.
HuniePop 2 is expected to release sometime in 2019. In the meantime, you can grab the excellent first game in the franchise on Steam, the Humble Store, GOG, Mangagamer [NSFW], and Nutaku [NSFW] for $9.99 or less.
