The Castlevania series has inspired a similar game in Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night which has some plans for the future. The devs at Art Play have updated their roadmap to discuss further developments for the game. Following a number of updates which added more gameplay and assets, the June 2022 roadmap shows that they plan to continue those trends.
The Bloodstained June 2022 Roadmap
Released in 2019, Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night is the second game in the Bloodstained series. It maintains a separate path from the Bloodstained: Curse Of The Moon arc with the most recent entry coming out in 2020. Despite this, the devs are still working to expand and improve Ritual Of The Night which is reflected in their roadmap. They've stated that the new content you have to pay for won't come into effect until after all of the free content has been completed and put into the game.
The roadmap shows a number of changes coming to the game itself in terms of experience and content. The most notable is the inclusion of a new area to explore that will act as a crossover with another franchise following the successful implementation of Aurora from Child Of Light as a playable character. The area won't be indicated on the map so players will need to explore until they reach it. Then, new game modes will be introduced called Chaos and Versus for the purposes of co-op and online multiplayer as well as a premium mode, Classic Mode 2. In terms of aesthetics, the character Miriam will be getting new outfits that players will be able to unlock or purchase.
Though all of these potential updates could change the game significantly, there's no confirmed timeframe for Classic Mode 2 or Miriam's new outfits. For the time-being, however, all of the Bloodstained June 2022 roadmap items have been placed on a general Summer timeline.
