Blood Bowl 2 reveals its release date, a new campaign video and two additional playable races.

Blood Bowl 2 is the sequel to the video game adaptation of Games Workshop's famous board game which combines American-style football with the fantasy of Warhammer. In it, players attempt to make passes and score by running the ball into the other teams' end zone. Very much like a regular game of football but with twists such as when a giant Ork creams a human player so hard, the human leaves the game permanently or when a creature with a tail has that little bit of extra reach to trip unsuspecting players.

The game has now officially been announced for September 22, 2015 and will be coming to the PC, PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Blood Bowl 2 was delayed for a few weeks from its initial planned release date in order to ensure players would receive the most polished version possible. As a thank you for everyone's patience, all pre-orders will receive an extra race in-game: The Lizardmen or the Wood Elves. PC players who pre-order on Steam will also be able to enjoy the multiplayer beta for a few weeks before the full release of the game. More information about the pre-order bonuses and other offers will be coming soon, so check back for more information.

Blood Bowl 2's campaign is a story-driven experience with various mechanics and twists that won't be found in any of the other game modes. The first few matches will provide newcomers with all the basics of how to play, with a plot driven with cut-scenes designed with the game's brand-new engine to pave way for Blood Bowl's central narrative. Here you'll have the chance to raise your team and enjoy all of the central mechanics of single-player league play along with all of the lore of the franchise.
