Bloober Team and Rogue Games have announced that they're teaming up for an unannounced next-gen game that's coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

You probably know Bloober Team from its recent release The Medium, but that's in the past now and the company currently has no plans to release DLC for that title. It's already working on a new game that's going to have a lot more action.

As for Rogue Games, this growing company most recently revealed two stylish new shooters called Sprawl and Neon Beasts. Now, these two companies are going to be working together on something new for PC and next-gen gaming consoles.

What We Know About the New Game from Bloober Team and Rogue Games

Sadly, we don't have much in the way of details about the new game from this company other than what we can glean from quotes in today's announcement (via Reddit).

"We couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with Rogue on this incredible project," said Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno. "We pride ourselves on making games that push the boundaries of originality and immersion, and we’re delighted to be working alongside a company that shares our vision."

“We’ve admired Bloober’s dark and gorgeous games for years, so we knew right away they were the only team to do this crazy cool concept justice," Rogue Games CEO Matt Casamassina said. "Today’s not the day--unforgettable, original, kickass games take time and care to make—but we can’t wait to fully announce details on this project at a later date."

So, that's all we know for now: a game that "[pushes] the boundaries of originality and immersion" that has a "crazy cool concept" and will be an "unforgettable, original, kickass" game. That's a lot of hype, but light on the details.

Those quotes aside, we can infer some things from the history of both companies. Rogue Games has a fair few shooter and racing games in its catalog and Bloober Team excels at first-person horror with titles such as The Medium and Layers of Fear. My best guess is that we'll see some kind of horror first-person shooter from this team-up, but I can't say for certain. For now, all we can do is wait until either company is ready to reveal more.
