Bleak Faith: Forsaken developer Archangel Studios has detailed numerous improvements made to the game over the course of the last month. The studio says it's "learned many lessons" throughout the Soulslike's release window, and that the content it has planned for the game in future is "enormous".
In a press release, Archangel says it's listened to all of the criticism players have made of Bleak Faith: Forsaken, "both positive and negative". Director Mišo Vukčević says his team is "fully committed" to shaping and expanding the game in the future, so if you were worried the devs would abandon Bleak Faith, it looks like you don't need to be concerned.
Updates that Archangel has implemented so far include "overhauled controller support, redesigned movement, and a host of quality-of-life enhancements", according to the aforementioned press release. In addition, the developers have added features like Steam achievements, new combat animations, and cloud saving to enhance the experience of playing Bleak Faith.

In addition, Archangel teases upcoming updates for Bleak Faith, saying that content making its way to the game soon will be "enormous for the community". Of course, the developer doesn't state what these updates will consist of, so we'll have to wait and see what's in store for Bleak Faith. One thing's for sure, though: according to Archangel, the game's launch is "only the beginning".
Bleak Faith: Forsaken was released on March 10th after a lengthy development process. The game is a Soulslike action RPG in which players explore the Omnistructure, an imposing megastructure full of dangers lurking around every corner. In our review of Bleak Faith: Forsaken, I wasn't particularly impressed; I called the game a "pre-alpha, a proof-of-concept that not only isn't finished but barely even feels like it's been started". I'm still rooting for the devs to salvage the interesting concept that lies at the core of Bleak Faith, though, so I'll be watching to see where these improvements take it.
