Black Desert Online's seventh anniversary is just around the corner, and to celebrate, publisher Pearl Abyss is hosting an extravaganza which offers in-game rewards and more. There's stuff up for grabs in Black Desert Online and Black Desert Console, and you can also look forward to celebratory streams and more.
Korean MMO Black Desert Online originally launched in North America back in 2016, which means that in March, the game will celebrate its seventh anniversary on Western shores. To commemorate the occasion, Pearl Abyss is hosting a birthday stream, which kicks off at 12pm Pacific time on YouTube and Twitch. The following day, a further stream will be held to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the game's console version.
As well as the streams, you're also getting some cool in-game goodies for Black Desert Online's seventh anniversary. They include a 700% XP boost for Hot Time, as well as extra spawns for Garmoth, a 7,000 pearl giveaway, and a login reward that Pearl Abyss says is worth $100. These rewards are available starting today and will run until March 29th.
Also arriving today is a set of rewards for Black Desert Console, which you can redeem if you play on either Xbox or PlayStation. Those rewards include extra combat XP, a $450 value login reward (supposedly), and 100 Loyalty. This is to celebrate the game's fourth anniversary on Xbox, as well as the third anniversary of crossplay arriving between the different versions.
That's not all, though. If you're a Prime Gaming subscriber, you'll get extra stuff if you connect your account to Black Desert Online or Console. Make sure to check the Prime Gaming landing page next Tuesday to see everything that's up for grabs for Black Desert players of all stripes. You will need to be in North America, South America, or Europe to claim these rewards.
There's also a rather fetching infographic that comes with all of these anniversary shenanigans. It has a host of information regarding player achievements, including 2022's most deadly monster and the total number of monsters players slew during the year. You can take a look at that infographic here.
There's more to come for Black Desert as well. Last week, we got a first look at the upcoming Hashashin Zayed, who's making his way to Black Desert Mobile soon. Black Desert Online is also gearing up for its next expansion, Land of the Morning Light, which comes with a new region inspired by Korean folklore, as well as new bosses to slay and storylines to experience. Stay tuned for more news on that. Until then, you can check out Black Desert right now on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, as well as mobile devices.
