If you love anime, you may be familiar with Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story, and it's soon getting its own video games.
The first game dedicated to the golf anime (for which a second cour has just started) is coming for Nintendo Switch, developed by Viverse (the metaverse company created for the HTC Vive) and WOWWOW Technology in collaboration with Bandai Namco Pictures. Despite that, it has really nothing to do with virtual reality.
It'll release "soon" with no release date announced yet. It's defined as a "role-playing golf motion game" and it's officially described as follows:
Based on the world of BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls' Story-, this game recreates the classic storyline depicted in the anime and lets you play as its main characters. Experience the joys of golf and the thrill of scoring against your opponents!
You can also enjoy a trailer below, while pre-orders are already open on the Nintendo eShop. The price is $19.99.
A mobile game titled Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story - Golf Versus is also coming, described as follows and equipped with its own trailer.
Android and iOS versions of the game will be available for all kinds of players to enjoy some virtual golf action!
In addition to a story mode that revisits the plot of the BIRDIE WING anime, there will also be a versus mode that pits you against players from all over the world and a multiplayer mode that lets you compete with your friends.
The game will also feature limited-edition outfits and capsules that enrich the golfing experience!
