Today, 2K Games has announced that one of their highest-rated games of all time, BioShock - is coming to the iOS Platform. Announced for "later this summer" - the game will be releasing on iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, iPad 4, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, and iPhone 5.

According to the press release:

BioShock will bring the complete experience of the original “genetically enhanced” action-adventure, first-person shooter to iOS devices, while offering optimized touch controls and full Made for iPhone (MFi) game controller support.
BioShock (both the game and series) is arguably one of the best first-person shooters to come out of the last generation. Released in 2007, the game received excellent reviews across the board, and made its way onto gamer's lists of favorite games. The game, when released on iOS will be a complete (as close to as possible) copy of the original game, minus any small tweaks to allow for the different platform. The game, which was originally produced by the now-closed Irrational Games, will be developed by 2K games.

For fans, this can be a good or a bad thing, depending on how you feel about iOS Devices and their controls. With the support of a MFi controller, the game will be almost identical in play as it's console and PC counterparts. Should the port to iOS devices be a flawless one, this game should be at the top of every iOS gamers' list! Check out the Screenshots below!
