Sonic Frontier

If you're one of many Sonic fans that are anticipating Sonic Frontiers, the wait might become a little more unbearable after this leak. Basically, leftover shaders and strings from Sonic Origins means that we now have a better idea of what to expect in the next Sonic title. You could say that it's pretty big, and what might be the most exciting string is the "FishingBigFirstTalked" string.

This means that Big the Cat might be returning to the series. For those who don't know, he's a big, 616 pound cat who likes fishing and helping Sonic out once in a while. Yeah, he's not the most complicated character ever created, but he's still pretty cool. Given that Sonic Frontiers is an open-world title, it looks like players will be able to go fishing with Big the Cat, especially with the FishCaught and NewFishFirstLooked strings included as well.

Big the Cat
 He's a pretty big deal.

There are also apparently Cyberspace levels in Sonic Frontiers, which goes to show that SEGA is truly their own worst enemy when it comes to Sonic. How hard would it have been to scrub these shaders and strings from Sonic Origins to preserve some surprises for their fans? Too hard, apparently. Anyways, the shaders all apparently came about because the Frontiers tools were used to make the Sonic Origins 3D menus. The menus do look great, but c'mon. The strings came from the Sonic Origins EXE file, because of course it did.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, it looks like Tails (TailsStatus) and Amy (AmyStatus) will be included in the game as well. Not that their inclusion is too surprising, but it's nice to know that Tails and Amy will most likely be in Sonic Frontiers.
