Have you watched the hit anime Edgerunners and wanted to become one? A new mod called Wannabe Edgerunner will let you do just that. To summarize, it adds "a very basic Humanity Cost system for cyberware implants as well as a few low Humanity side-effects including cyberpsychosis". If you're an Edgerunner fan, this Cyberpunk 2077 mod might be just what you've been looking for.

This Cyberpunk 2077 mod will make you question your humanity

The mod adds a new stat, Humanity, which changes depending on installed cyberware, Berserk or Sandevistan usages, and each kill you commit. An important thing to know is that for every implant you install, your Humanity is permanently decreased. Cyberware usages and kills will also temporarily decrease your Humanity, but you can regain Humanity lost in this way by sleeping. In order to track your Humanity, the Cyberware menu screen will display your Humanity value, and there's also a new widget that will appear above your HP bar.

At least you're fully hydrated, amirite?

In order to deal with your Humanity going up and down like a yo-yo, you should use Neuroblockers, new inhaler items that remove low Humanity side-effects. While active, Neuroblockers will also ensure that no more Humanity points can be lost. This is a good thing due to the possible consequences of your Humanity dropping too low, which could include the dreaded Cyberpsychosis.

There are three levels of low-Humanity Cyberpsychosis effects: Glitches, Pre-Psychosis, and full-blown Cyberpsychosis. Glitches add some "light visual glitches", as you'd expect, and also add a critical damage debuff to your gameplay. Pre-Psychosis adds more visual glitches and a critical chance debuff. There's also the chance of triggering full-on Cyberpsychosis, which adds "heavy visual glitches" while buffing your movement speed, armor value, and health regeneration. It will also cause police to spawn if your character isn't in an interior area or a dangerous zone.
