Laser sword extravaganza Beat Saber will be making its way to the PlayStation VR according to a post on the PlayStation Blog.
Beat Saber is a virtual reality title with a simple but engaging premise. You take control of a pair of lightsabers - one red, one blue - and are met with a series of boxes flying toward your screen. You must swipe your swords through the boxes in the directions that the arrows indicate. It's pretty fun - our reviewer certainly had a blast with it!
This action takes place alongside some pretty kickin' tunes from popular music artists the world over. Take a look at the PlayStation VR trailer to see it in motion:
Beat Saber is great as a single-player experience or taking turns with your friends. Aside from the vanilla gameplay, a number of modifiers are available to mix things up. You can elect to play with a single saber, disable the arrows entirely, and more. There's also a nicely challenging campaign on offer, brand new to the console experience.
The PlayStation VR version of the game will feature five exclusive tracks at launch. Fortunately for PC players, this is the "soft" kind of exclusive - the new campaign and other content should be making its way to the PC at a later (as-yet-undetermined) date.
If Beat Saber sounds like your kind of jam, you'll be able to pick it up on the PlayStation VR on November 20, 2018. PC players can get it on Steam and on the Humble Store for $19.99 or your regional equivalent. A price hasn't yet been announced for the console version, but odds are it's going to be the same as the PC.
