Battletoads NES Legacy Cartridge Collection Announced As New Game Launches

iam8bit, Rare, and Xbox Game Studios have announced their partnership in selling two collectible sets to honor Battletoads, which includes the Battletoads NES Legacy Cartridge Collection and Battletoads: Smash Hits Vinyl Soundtrack.

The Battletoads NES Legacy Cartridge Collection is a limited edition of 2,000 copies, includes the a playable cartridge with two colors, Translucent Zitz Green and Ultra Limited Pimple Brown (1 in 8 will be Pimple Brown randomly picked as they are the special 'ultra limited cartridge'), has a fold-out foil box with gloss and embellishments, a full-color instruction booklet with restored artwork and foreword by Jirard “The Completionist” Khalil, a custom dust cover, a retro pack-in with surprises, and a custom package design and restoration by Jango Snow Art & Design.

The Battletoads NES Legacy Cartridge Collection will cost $99.99 and will ship out in Q3 2020. 

The Battletoads: Smash Hits Vinyl Soundtrack will retail for $42.99 and includes two discs. There's a iam8bit exclusive "Kiss My Fist" with a 3D Pop-Up Gatefold Jacket, and the first disc will include music from the 1991 version of Battletoads by composer David Wise, and the second disc will include music by composer David Housen for the 2020 version of Battletoads. 500 random orders will also receive Rash's Toadally Rad Adventure Cassette (which includes tracks from the original BattletoadsBattletoads in BattlemaniacsBattletoads Arcade, and the new Battletoads), so buyers will definitely be able to rock out like it's the 80's. Just don't forget your Walkman.
