The first Battlefield 2042 scoreboard update is going to arrive tomorrow alongside a new patch, and owners of everything except the standard edition are getting the Steadfast Exclusive Legendary Bundle as a thank you from the devs.
Battlefield 2042 has been doing its best to hang in there despite a plethora of problems at launch, some of which were bad enough to cause tens of thousands of fans to petition for refunds. However, EA Dice has been doing its best to fix the game's many problems, most recently with the announcement of improvements to the scoreboard and a revised roadmap. Now, the first iteration of the new scoreboard is all set to arrive tomorrow.
What's Coming in the Battlefield 2042 Scoreboard Update?
The Battlefield 2042 scoreboard update will show many of the details that were missing from the original launch according to today's announcement. Critically, it should be noted that players will be ranked on the scoreboard based on their in-game score and solely through racking up a high number of kills as seen in the above image. This won't be the only update to the scoreboard, either -- this is just the first of what will be many improvements.
"The Scoreboard now features a team vs team split look for certain team-based modes such as Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush and Team Deathmatch, alongside the inclusion of the deaths stat to the Scoreboard," read today's announcement.
"While these changes were two of your most-requested missing pieces, this is the first version of the Scoreboard, and further improvements will be made to this in subsequent updates, based upon your continued feedback such as the Scoreboard being available during the End of Round screens."
Additionally, all Battlefield 2042 Gold Edition, Battlefield 2042 Ultimate Edition, Year 1 Pass, Year 1 Pass owners, Ultimate Pack upgrade owners, and EA Play Pro subscribers will be getting the Steadfast Exclusive Legendary Bundle for free tomorrow as a thank you from the Battlefield team as long as they've made their purchase (or started playing the game) prior to February 1, 2022.
The first Battlefield 2042 scoreboard update also includes a number of small changes to the game; you can read about all of today's changes in today's news post. The scoreboard update will arrive tomorrow, March 8, 2022. You can join in on the improved action by buying Battlefield 2042 for PC and consoles starting at $59.99 or your regional equivalent.
