Today has been a pretty big day for the Dragon Quest franchise, and more news comes from the mobile front with the opening of pre-registration in Japan for Dragon Quest Champions.
Square Enix's next big attempt to make a splash in the mobile market is basically a hybrid between a JRPG and a battle royale game, and you can pre-register for iOS and Android.
We also get a couple of trailers showcasing gameplay, from character creation to battle. You can watch them below.
Dragon Quest Champions was announced back in January for iOS and Android, and if you're curious, you can take a look at plenty more gameplay.
At the moment, there is no information from the Western arms of Square Enix on whether it will be localized for North America and Europe. We'll have to wait and see, but the publisher has been rather active in localizing its mobile games as of late.
If you're interested in more Dragon Quest news, today we got the announcement of the worldwide release date for Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai, based on the popular manga and anime series. It'll come to PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S later this year. We also heard that a new Dragon Quest Monsters game is currently in development for Nintendo Switch.
