Baldur's Gate 3 Update 6 is finally here and Larian has kept its promise: Baldur's Gate 3 Patch #6 is adding new content including the Grymforge region in the Underdark and the Sorcerer Class.
The development of Baldur's Gate 3 has been moving along nicely. The previous major update largely focused on behind-the-scenes changes and quality-of-life improvements, but Larian Studios promised players that it would be adding a fat chunk of new content in the update after that. Baldur's Gate 3 Update 6 has finally arrived -- and Larian has certainly delivered on its promise.
What's New in Baldur's Gate 3 Update 6?
The first major addition in Baldur's Gate 3 Update 6 is the Grymforge, a new region of the Underdark that holds untold riches for ambitious adventurers. This ancient Sharran fortress has several quests for players to explore.
A somewhat more substantial addition to the game is the addition of the Sorcerer Class. The Sorcerer Class has the unique Wild Magic and Draconic Bloodline subclasses, each of which adds its~ own unique flair to your experience. Wild Magic Sorcerers run the risk of triggering random effects on spells, but they also can get an advantage with attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. As for the Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer, it allows you to utilize elemental spells due to your draconic heritage. This update also adds a number of new spells for Sorcerers such as Cloud of Daggers and Crown of Madness.
Of course, a number of other improvements and changes have come to the game including improvements to the camera system, a bit of polish for the game's cinematics, and more; you can read about all of the changes in the Baldur's Gate 3 Update 6 patch notes.
Now's as good a time as any to get into the game -- you can buy Baldur's Gate 3 at the price of $59.99 or your regional equivalent via the game's official website. Make sure to check out our Beginner's Guide to help yourself get started with this great CRPG!
