Avatar: Reckoning has been announced as a new shooter set in the world of James Cameron's Avatar, arriving on mobile devices sometime in 2022.

If you like running around in the jungle, there are a fair few options available to you like Green Hell or one of the Minecraft Dungeons DLCs. However, James Cameron's classic movie Avatar doesn't offer much in the way of options other than the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora game that's expected to launch sometime this year. That changes today with the announcement of a new Avatar shooter on mobile devices.

Avatar: Reckoning Is a Mystery - For Now

Avatar: Reckoning is set to be an "MMO mobile shooter" according to today's announcement. Thus far, all we've seen of the game is the screenshot in the above tweet.

MassivelyOP, however, has some additional details on what we can expect via a press release. This upcoming game will take players to "never-before-seen" parts of Pandora and will feature both Na'vi Clans and RDA troops. The game will be playable in solo, co-op, and PvP modes, although the specifics of those game modes have not yet been shared.

When is the Avatar: Reckoning Release Date?

The Avatar: Reckoning release date will be sometime in 2022; a more specific release date has not yet been announced.

You can look forward to this upcoming Avatar game making its debut on Android and iOS sometime later this year. For now, your best bet for learning more is keeping an eye on the official Avatar Twitter account and the game's developer Level Infinite.
