Fallout: New Vegas' modding scene will be graced with a new mod this Fall, called Autumn Leaves.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGzMC1Kc4jE "Walk the Mojave one last time, and discover a centuries-old library inhabited by sentient machines. In this forgotten Vault, you will discover that you might not know yourself as well as you thought you did."
Autumn Leaves invites the player to experience a unique philosophical and spiritual trip into a vast library, sealed away for centuries using methods reminiscent of Vault-Tech Vaults. The player will be part of a series of initiations while suffering the verbal aggression and casual death threats from abusive robots. The trip will learn the Courier to pause and reflect on what it means to learn, to take revenge, to grow.
The player will be confronted by a full cast of robots with erratic and unpredictable programming, emulating human emotions. You will be challenged to solve a centuries-old murder while attempting to help the machines 'find their inner self'. Or, you know, blow them up.
Reportedly having taken a process of 4 years, Autmn Leaves will feature over 2000 lines of 'Professionally-Voice Dialogue' as well as a number of compelling characters, with their fates influenced by your dialogue choices. These choices will vary in theme, ranging from philosophical arguments, jokes, detective work and even poetry. The 8 quests available are intertwined, coming with several possible resolutions or outcomes, topped off with several available endings featured like a typical Fallout slideshow ending. The mod promises you 7 hours of non-repetitive gameplay, with many new unlockable perks (through player choices, quests and collectibles) as well as an Original Soundtrack to keep you entertained.
The mod is said to be released this Fall, so stay tuned and get that copy of New Vegas installed again.
