This holiday season, Atlus brings Legend of Legacy for the 3DS to North America.
Legend of Legacy is a Japanese RPG where players unravel the secret agendas of seven explorers and see what each has in store for a mysterious new island that has suddenly appeared, Avalon. Join Liber, Meurs, Owen, Bianca, Garnet, Eloise and Filmia as they arrive on the mysterious island as explorers. When they discover a strange, singing stone they are suddenly able to see the Phantasms of Avalon's long-forgotten past. Choose one of the seven and experience their story; are you looking for treasure, or are you looking for the "god" of Avalon? Play through each character to see the entire story as they overlap and interweave with each other.
In addition to exploring the island, combat will offer players plenty of challenge in Legend of Legacy. Combat is turn-based, but players will have the ability to create their own party formations tailored to their party of three with classless combat. This means that each member can be put into a different combat role - be it defending, attacking, supporting, etc - at any given time. Formations can be changed and saved between turns, giving players plenty of options to maximize their strategies.
A team of legendary developers - Illustrator Tomomi Kobayashi (SaGa), Composer Masashi Hamauzu (SaGa, FF13), Writer Masato Kato (Chrono Trigger), Game Designer Kyoji Koizumi (SaGa) and Masataka Matsuura (999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors) - all come together to create this brand new RPG.
Based on feedback following the Japanese release, Atlus has made several gameplay adjustments to better balance the game for the North America release. More details on these changes will be revealed in the upcoming months, so watch out for that information in the future.
The Legend of Legacy will be available on the Nintendo 3DS as both a physical and digital release this holiday season for $39.99USD.
So Raptors, what do you think of The Legend of Legacy? Will you be picking it up during the holiday season?
