Today Koei Tecmo opened pre-orders for its upcoming JRPG Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & Secret Key.
To celebrate, the English version of the latest story trailer has been released (you can watch it at the bottom of the post) featuring the first sample of "Travelers," the ending theme song of the game performed by suis, the vocalist of the popular Japanese rock duo Yorushika.
We also get to see the pre-order bonuses, including the “Straw Hat”, “Summer Flower Crown”, and the “Great Alchemist’s Staff” which are accessories that can be worn by Ryza on top of any costume.
An early purchase bonus is also going to be available for those who purchase the game digitally or physically within two weeks from launch, and it's a set of seven Summer Look costumes.
Those who purchase the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive the following.
- "Another Look" Costume Set: A set of 22 costumes, 2 different color variations of the default character outfit for each of the 11 party members.
- "Back to Summer" Costume Set: A set of 2 costumes for Ryza, namely the "Summer Adventure!" costume and "Sea Breeze Blouse" costume that were introduced in previous games.
- Gem Pack: 100,000 Gems that can be used for Item Duplication and other purposes. Gems become available as you progress through the game and learn "Duplication" or "Item Rebuilding" in the Skill Tree.
- Key Pack: 20 Pristine Keys that can be used for Key Creation and other purposes. Pristine Keys become available as you progress through the game.
Lastly, the Ultimate Edition will include the Season Pass and the Gust Collaboration costume set including two costumes for Ryza based on the outfits worn by Plachta and Ramizel in Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream.
Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & Secret Key was announced at Tokyo Game Show 2022 and is the sequel of Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy, originally released between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021 across Japan and the west. It's the ending of the first trilogy in the Atelier series to retain the same protagonist across all three games, since Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout launched in 2019. This is certainly a testament to Ryza's popularity, also thanks to the charming character design by Toridamono.
According to its developers, it'll also be the last game featuring Ryza, so fans will have to soon say goodbye to one of the most beloved heroines in the history of the Atelier franchise.
The game has already gone gold and it will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 24, 2023.
Incidentally, recently we also heard more about Atelier Marie Remake: The Alchemist of Salburg which will bring back the first game of the series and will mark its debut in the west since it was never localized before.
