You're going to have to wait a while for the first big Assassin's Creed Valhalla expansion — the Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids DLC release date has been pushed back a couple of weeks.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is the newest game in the Assassin's Creed franchise that features a Viking theme. It's been a pretty good year for Viking games between this and Valheim! Unfortunately, it looks like you're going to have to wait a little bit longer to play the first major expansion for the game.
A tweet from the official Assassin's Creed account has revealed that the DLC is going to be delayed by a couple of weeks. No explicit reason was given for the delay other than the fact that the developers want to provide players with "a more refined experience" with the finished product.
The Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids DLC has you taking on a terrifying cult called the Children of Danu. Eivor will also get to take over Ringforts, fortified settlements that were one of the many precursors to castles. You'll also do a fair bit of exploring in Dublin, a city that was a major trading port at the time.
When is the Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids DLC Release Date?
The Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids DLC release date is now May 13, 2021. That's two weeks later than the original release date of April 29.
There's a lot we don't know just yet, sadly. Ubisoft says that it's going to provide more details about the expansion (and presumably, a reason for the delay) at a later date. We also don't know if this delay is going to affect the second expansion or any of the other planned post-launch or Season Pass content that still has to come out.
For now, there's still plenty of fun to be had in the game! You can buy Assassin's Creed Valhalla for PC and consoles starting at $59.99 or your regional equivalent, although you should keep in mind that you'll need to pick up the Season Pass to enjoy this upcoming expansion content.
