With the release of the PC version of this year's Assassin's Creed Syndicate available to everyone for about a week and a half, Ubisoft today announced that the game will be getting a patch tomorrow. This 1.2 patch aims to fix a couple of problems with the AI's situational awareness problems (the AI wasn't at all aware of its surroundings most of the time) as well as implement some fixes to other parts of the game.

The patch notes were posted on the official Ubisoft forums and will attempt to alleviate some of Syndicate's pop-in issues, as well as improve reactions your allies and enemies have to your actions, both on foot and on vehicles. Amongst the list of fixes is a fix to improve character handling when parkour-ing and will also improve the game's performance and stability.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate came out on consoles at the end of last month, with the PC version having received a slightly later release on November 19. The game got released to favourable reviews and mixed public opinions, with many players citing the game's lack of innovation as one of the reasons why the series is slowly falling out of favour with the general public. I did a review for this game as well. You can check it out here if you want to know what I thought of the latest installment of Ubisoft's yearly franchise.

Quick Take

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is, in this writer's humble opinion, a pretty big step up from the technical disaster that was last year's Unity in terms of technical capability, and it's good to see that they're pretty quick with responding to player feedback. The game has its hiccups (especially on PC for some reason) but none of those hiccups come even close to getting in the way of playing the actual game.

I've been playing games since I was just barely able to walk so I might as well write about them.
