We might not get a full-fledged, new entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise this year, but that doesn't mean there won't be anything Assassin-related stuff to play. The Assassin's Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender is coming to theaters in a little under a month, and now players on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be able to relive Ezio's trilogy with updated graphics.

This is either a great time to finally play arguably the most popular entries into the franchise, or a great time to jump back into the game that has gotten a slight polish to bring it more in line with modern games. Assassin's Creed: The Ezio collection bundles up Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations, as well as all downloadable content available for these games. In addition to this, the collection also includes the Assassin's Creed: Lineage and Assassin's Creed: Embers short films (which are actually quite good. You can also watch them here and here).

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection sports enhanced visuals and a 1080 resolution that make the game look a little less dated (Assassin's Creed II is almost 10 years old at this point) than they did before. While Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood introduced the (still awesome, in my personal opinion) multiplayer to the franchise, the Ezio Collection won't have the multiplayer modes.

This collection of games isn't groundbreaking at any rate but gives players the option to play the games on a more modern console.

Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection is available now on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The PC isn't getting an updated version of the games. If you want to pick it up, Amazon is carrying the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (Affiliate Links), with a digital version of it on Xbox One going for $10 less than the retail base price(Affiliate Link), at $49.99 versus $59.99. The Xbox One physical edition is also 10% off.

What do you think of Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection? Will you be jumping back into the popular trilogy or are you finally giving this game a go? Let us know in the comment section below!

I've been playing games since I was just barely able to walk so I might as well write about them.
