Intrepid Studios released another extensive gameplay video of its upcoming sandbox MMORPG Ashes of Creation.
The video showcases a massive Cyclops open-world raid boss named Tumok the Wretched, whom you can simply encounter as he strolls around smashing trees and minding his own business (he even interacts with the environment, which is pretty awesome).
The raid is designed to be fought by approximately 16-32 players depending on level and equipment, and it has multiple phases, creating what appears to be definitely an interesting battles.
You can watch the video below. You can also watch the full livestream that originally showcased the video for additional insight and a look at new artwork and models created over the past month.
Ashes of Creation has been in development for quite some time following a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2017, gathering nearly $3.3 million from almost 20,000 users.
Alpha 2 is supposed to have most of the game's systems and features in place for players to test, but it doesn't have a firm date yet. You can see more in a previous video released a few weeks ago focusing on tanks, another showcasing the Story Arc System and the Tower of Carphin, and one showing off the Mage archetype.
Personally, I definitely hope that Ashes will live up to its lofty ambitions, as the MMORPG market has been a bit stagnant as of late, and it can use a new successful entry that doesn't follow the usual "theme park" approach.
