The Ascent update has dropped with a major load of goodies, along with a sale and a roadmap going into next year. Since its launch, it's been a good time to be a fan of The Ascent, because there's going to be a steady stream of content going into next year, following the good The Ascent sales. The Ascent update includes a photo mode and new in-game cosmetics such as two new shirt skins and 10 new weapon skins.
What Halloween goodies are included in The Ascent update?
The aforementioned Photo Mode has to be enabled in the Gameplay settings, and to do so you'll need to go to Settings, Gameplay, and then enable Photo Mode. You can then press F10 or LB on a gamepad to take a screenshot.
There's a free Halloween pack included in The Ascent update, which includes The Jack o’Lantern headgear, The Skeleton shirt, and A Skull Face Tattoo. The game is also 20% off from October 28 to November 1st. Four new Steam point shop items have also been added, which includes 2 new Halloween animated Avatars, and 2 new Halloween Stickers.
Last but not least is the post-launch content roadmap, which includes this most recent patch (patch #4) and three other patches going into next year. Patch #5 will include a paid Cybersec Pack and Transmogrification, Patch #6 will include Side Missions V0 and a Winter Pack, and Patch #7 (coming out next year) will have a paid Cyber Warrior Pack along with New Game + and a Chrongoing Pack.

What cosmetics are included in The Ascent update?
- Greentooth (shirt skin): unlocked by default in the character creator.
- Feed (shirt skin): can be found in loot drops (enemy drops or crates).
- Greeny (weapon skin): unlocked by default in the character creator.
- Junkyard (weapon skin): unlocked by default in the character creator.
- Dark Tech (weapon skin): unlocked by default in the character creator.
- Bubbles (weapon skin): can be found in loot drops (enemy drops or crates).
- Dots 01 (weapon skin): can be found in loot drops (enemy drops or crates).
- Gold (weapon skin): can be found in loot drops (enemy drops or crates).
- Leo (weapon skin): can be found in loot drops (enemy drops or crates).
- Pink (weapon skin): can be found in loot drops (enemy drops or crates).
- Old Silver (weapon skin): can be found in loot drops (enemy drops or crates).
- Old Faithful (weapon skin): can be found in loot drops (enemy drops or crates).
Also included in the update are a performance fix for entering new areas in Online Coop, some minor UI issues have been fixed, and stability in general, such as crashes, softlocks, and disconnection issues.
