Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon releases in 2023 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. At the moment, we don't yet know the precise release date. It marks the return of the series after Armored Core V in 2012 and its its standalone expansion Verdict Day in 2013. The series has been dormant for a whole 10 years.
The game was announced in December 2022 at The Game Awards, and recently we heard more details from producer Yatsutaka Ogura about a variety of topics including difficulty, mech customization, action, and online elements.
In case you're unfamiliar with the game, here's how FromSoftware describes it:
In Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, players will assemble and pilot their own mech with 3D maneuverability to move freely through three dimensional fast-paced missions. Take on difficult challenges and overwhelm your enemies with dynamic movements that make full use of ranged and melee combat. Players can enjoy a variety of actions that can only be truly realized with mechs.
