Today, League of Geeks announced that Armello, a fantasy digital board game, will receive its 2.0 update on February 26, with its Beta launching today on Steam.

After three years of patches, Armello is set to receive its biggest patch yet, which promises "complete overhauls of the front-end menu, multiplayer functionality and architecture, and meta progression loop."

Armello's 2.0 patch will also see the addition of its most requested feature: Multiplayer Reconnection, which will allow players to reconnect to a match in progress if they were to be disconnected. The patch will also include a new Party Menu, which will allow players to group up more easily with their friends.

A Hero Mastery feature will also be added, which will offer players long-term goals and rewards while playing the game. Players will be able to level up their heroes and earn new cosmetic content such as new Hero-specific chat lines, boast animations, and the ability to equip multiple dice skins.

"V2.0 is four to five times larger than any update we’ve ever done, even after  supporting Armello with content and updates for over four years. For the community that pushed us to keep improving the game, version 2.0 is for you. And for everyone else that hasn’t played yet: there’s never been a better time to start playing Armello.”  --- Trent Kusters, co-founder and director, League of Geeks
Clan Grounds will allow players to save and go through specific Hero loadouts. These include preferred skin, dice, and jewelry combinations. The Jewelry Box will house the game's collectibles, and it also will show all items yet to be found, as well as the conditions for unlocking them.

Armello 2.0 will also include new graphical and UX improvements, and a new main menu theme from franchise composer and songwriter Michael Allan.
