Deformers, the arena combat game where you play as rotund cartoon animals, launches on April 21, 2017. The game was originally set to launch in February, but it was delayed close to the original date.
The game takes place in an arena environment where players will select from one of five classes, a feature that was debuted in October of last year in a YouTube video. The Ranger is the jack of all trades with average stats across the board. The Striker excels at melee attacks but is weaker at shooting. The Guardian is the game's tank class, with a slower movement speed but greater overall health and a defensive ability that allows them to reflect melee damage. The Marksman is the shooting specialist - it excels at ranged combat but it also has low survivability. Finally, the Speedster is the fastest (and most fragile) class of the bunch, relying on its movement ability and fast cooldowns to survive above all else.

Deformers is set to feature local multiplayer for up to four people and online multiplayer for up to eight people. Game modes will include Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and a soccer-like game called Formball. As players progress through the game, they'll earn Silver which they can use to unlock cosmetics to customize their Forms. There will be 44 Forms in the game at launch. Additionally, players who purchase and launch the game within the first week will get the Founder's Pack. The trailer for this pack showcases four unique Forms that will only be available to early adopters of the game - Armando the Armadillo, Finius the Angler Fish, Stax the Pancakes, and Hampton the Hamster.
If you'd like to grab a physical copy of the game, you'll only be able to grab it exclusively at GameStop. The games retailer will also be carrying the Collector's Edition which will include a steelbook case, a soundtrack disc, four vinyl figurines, and stickers. Deformers launches on April 21, 2017 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 for $29.99 or your regional equivalent.
