The Apex Legends Unshackled Event has been revealed -- it's bringing back the Flashpoint LTE and, as always, introducing a bunch of cool new cosmetics to this Battle Royale game.

Apex Legends has had a pretty smooth Season 12 aside from the occasional server issues or weird new hack floating around. With Season 12 winding down, Respawn Entertainment has seen fit to squeeze in one more event to close out the season -- the Unshackled Event is coming soon.

What We Know About the Apex Legends Unshackled Event and Flashpoint LTE

The Apex Legends Unshackled Event brings all of the usual goodies like new cosmetics and a rewards tracker, but it's also going to be bringing back the Flashpoint LTE.

If you haven't played Apex Legends in a while, the Flashpoint LTE is a game mode that mixes up the rules of standard Battle Royale gameplay. All healing items are removed from the game and players can only regenerate their health and shields within designated zones. This ultimately keeps everybody moving and reduces ratting and turtling.

This new Apex Legends event will also feature a minor update to the game's UI. As seen above, the Thematic Tab is getting a bit of a glow-up to make it easier to see what you can purchase or unlock throughout the course of the event.

You'll be able to play the Apex Legends Unshackled Event when it launches on April 19, 2022; you can learn more about the event in today's announcement. After that, we'll be looking forward to Season 13 and finding out whether or not that recent batch of leaks was true or not. You can experience all of the fun yourself by playing Apex Legends for free on PC and consoles via its official website.
