The Apex Legends Season 7 patch notes have arrived, detailing some new features coming to the game —, including the "Quickdraw Holster" Hop-Up which will give a serious buff to the Wingman and RE-45.

Apex Legends has spent the last week getting players ready for Season 7. Among the new additions coming in this upcoming patch are vehicles and the "Club" system, the latter of which effectively adds clans to the game. Now, the remainder of the new features have been detailed in the Apex Legends Season 7 patch notes.

You can get a good look at what's coming in this patch by watching this 55-minute developer stream that details the new features.

What's New in the Apex Legends Season 7 Patch?

The big additions in the Apex Legends Season 7 patch are things that we've known about for some time: the new Legend Horizon, the Olympus map, vehicles, and the Club system. We now have more details on these new features and how they will work.

Horizon will be the newest Legend added to the game. Her passive is "Spacewalk" and gives her greater air control and a reduction in fall impacts. Her Tactical ability is "Gravity Lift," raising players off of the ground and shooting them outward. As for her Ultimate, she can deploy her NEWT device and create a micro black hole that will suck in enemy Legends.

The new Olympus map is a floating city in the sky filled with luxurious amenities. Unfortunately, a scientific experiment gone awry caused the city to be abandoned, allowing it to serve as the next arena for Respawn's Battle Royale. Players can zip around this extra-large map with the Trident, the first true vehicle in the game that will allow players to move around the map at speed. Best of all, the passengers can fire their guns out of the side.

One of the more surprising additions is a change in the availability of Hop-Ups. The Selectfire Receiver Hop-up is being removed from the loot pool; it will be replaced with the Quickdraw Holster Hop-up. The Quickdraw Holster can be applied to either the Wingman or the RE-45; it allows the gun to be raised and lowered faster, decreases ADS time, and reduces hipfire spread.

As always, there are tons of other small balance changes, additions, and quality-of-life improvements in this patch; you can read the full Apex Legends Season 7 patch notes for all the fine details.
