An Apex Legends new Legend is coming alongside the launch of season 8. Fuse is an explosives-loving Aussie, a "blow-up-first-ask-questions-later kinda guy", who's ditched his home planet of Salvo to join the Apex Games. He'll debut on February 2nd.
What do we know about the new Apex Legends character?
This news comes to us via the official Apex Legends Twitter account. A new Stories from the Outlands video titled "Good as Gold" debuted on the account today. It shows Fuse and his friend navigating the tricky world of Salvo after finding a golden grenade. As you might expect, alliances fray, and before long Fuse and his friend fall out. The golden grenade the pair found as kids end up blowing off Fuse's right arm, leading to him fitting a mechanical arm instead.

According to Polygon, dataminers have already discovered what could be Fuse's kit hidden in Apex Legends' files. Fuse will be able to fire grenades from his mechanical arm, and his ultimate, The Motherlode, sees him firing a cannon on his back and covering his surroundings in flame. We don't yet know about Fuse's passive, or even whether these abilities are definitely going to see their way to the finished Legend.
What will Apex Legends season 8 bring with it?
Season 8 of Apex Legends will be bringing some big changes to the Kings Canyon map. According to EA, Fuse has "dramatically reshaped" the map with his entrance, which means the landscape will be switched up. We don't yet know exactly what changes are coming to Kings Canyon, but EA will reveal more details about this change soon.
As well as the new map, we'll also be getting a new weapon, the 30-30 Repeater, which is described as "Salvo's most popular weapon". It's a hard-hitting lever-action rifle that's slow but deadly. As you might expect, Season 8 will also bring with it a new Battle Pass complete with new Skins, Apex Packs, Holo-Sprays, and plenty more, as well as the start of a new Ranked season. We'll bring you more on the new content in Apex Legends' eighth season as soon as we get it.
