Today, independent developer RG Crew and publisher Ultimate Games S.A. announced that their title Anthology of Fear would be releasing on PC and Nintendo Switch next year.

Players will be able to play three different stories in Anthology of Fear, and they will be unrelated in plot. They will also be distinctive via the different elements of gameplay, making it more of a well-rounded experience for the player.
“Each of the three stories is different – of course there are also different characters, time periods, and so on," said Director and Chief Designer of Anthology of Fear, Hubert Zatorski. "The player thus receives three smaller games in one. Each of them will provide different experiences. Our game will be diverse and ambiguous. It won’t be any problem for fans of the series Silent Hill and Outlast to find themselves in Anthology of Fear. The same goes for titles in the style of Layers of Fear, Alan Wake or even Hunt: Showdown."The first story will be set in the twentieth story in Siberia, one of the remotest places on the planet. There will be a struggle for survival and the player will have to hunt. The next will be set in a contemporary period, where creativity and alienation will be the main focus. The third story will be set in an unspecified place and time, with its theme based around memories. For each of the three stories, players will be able to explore each of the worlds and come to understand what makes each of the worlds tick. Atmosphere is the main focus of the game, with the Steam page proclaiming to potential players that they should "... not expect simple and boring jumpscare(s). The mood of the game is built... by the atmosphere."
"In Anthology of Fear we took a broad perspective and that will translate into the gameplay itself, RG Crew’s chief programmer, Piotr Rycąbel explained. "Thus, each episode will also be different in this respect. Depending on the episode, there will be plenty of exploration, sneaking, escaping, fighting and hunting."Anthology of Fear will be released on PC for Q1 2020, with a Nintendo Switch release forthcoming.
