A new Another Eden x Chrono Cross gameplay trailer has arrived, showing Harle in battle alongside Chrono Cross' protagonist Serge and Another Eden's Aldo.
2021 has been a banner year for crossovers; we've had Genshin Impact bring Horizon Zero Dawn's Aloy into its world, Dead Cells introduce some cool new Hollow Knight content in a recent update, and Terraria teaming up with Don't Starve in an ambitious dual crossover event.
One of the more recent -- and perhaps more interesting -- crossovers has been between the free-to-play RPG Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space and Chrono Cross. This crossover brings several Chrono Cross characters into the game, and now we can finally see them in battle.
Take a Nostalgia Trip with Harle in the Another Eden x Chrono Cross Gameplay Trailer
The Another Eden x Chrono Cross gameplay trailer opens up with a conversation between Another Eden's protagonist Aldo and the iconic Chrono Cross character Harle; Harle speaks of a "wish" that she has and her plans to use an alliance with Lynx to make that happen. We then get treated to a short montage of animated CGs before jumping into battle.
Harle is a tough as she ever was and has many moon-themed abilities in her arsenal, just like she did in Chrono Cross. She's a pretty hardy character, too; her strong INT and M.AT stats make her a powerful attacker. Throughout the short battle, we also see Serge get in a few good hits with his Swallow.
It's lovely to see Harle and Serge back in action in Another Eden, but this may just be a prelude to an even bigger announcement -- Gematsu has heard tell that a full Chrono Cross remaster in development. Considering that tomorrow's The Game Awards is going to have "four or five" big announcements tomorrow evening, there's a good chance that we may get to see a new version of one of the most iconic JRPGs ever.
