Green just got a little less sus — an Among Us Xbox release date has been announced for 2021, finally bringing this popular social deduction game to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. The game is also now available on Xbox Game Pass for PC right now!
Among Us is a social deduction game with a simple premise: ten players are attempting to complete a job. Eight of the players are honest, hardworking folk who just want to complete the various tasks they have to do in the game. The other two players, however, are the dreaded Imposters — secret enemies who can kill any one of the other Crewmates. If both Imposters are jettisoned into space, the Crewmates win. If all of the Crewmates are killed, then the Imposters win. It's a simple but fun formula.
At the moment, the game can be bought on Steam for $4.99 or your regional equivalent. Players can now buy it for PC on the Microsoft Store (and at a 20% discount, too) or get it with Xbox Game Pass for PC.
When is the Among Us Xbox Release Date?
The Among Us Xbox release date will be sometime in 2021 according to a tweet from the official Xbox account. Unfortunately, a specific date has not yet been provided.
Until recently, Among Us has been solely on PC, and Mobile. That recently changed with the announcement of an Among Us Nintendo Switch release, and now that's not the only console that will get this game.
One obvious question remains — with Android, iOS, the Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X|S already on board, will Among Us be coming to the PS4 and PS5? Sony had phenomenal success with giving away Fall Guys as part of the August 2020 PlayStation Plus games — perhaps we may see history repeat itself with Among Us.
