It looks like some Need for Speed Online Mobile gameplay may have leaked on Reddit, giving us a first look at this new game coming from Tencent's TiMi Studios.

Things have been pretty rough for the Need for Speed franchise in recent years. The next game in the franchise was delayed last year, and then older games were delisted from digital storefronts a few months later. While Need for Speed 2022 is still very much in development, a new leak claims to show what might be a second game in the Need for Speed franchise is in the works -- and this one is coming to mobile devices.

The Need for Speed Mobile Online Leak Looks Pretty Good

An alleged Need for Speed Mobile Online leak popped up on Reddit, showing a little under one minute of gameplay from what is claimed to be a new NFS game coming to mobile devices.

The 47-second video shows two cars driving around at high speeds, one of which appears to be the Lamborghini Aventador. A Drift meter and Nitrous meter are shown on screen. While the first driving sprint appears to be focused on traditional street racing, the second half of the clip featuring the Lambo has a stronger focus on drift-style driving, suggesting that drifting will be an integral mechanic of this game.

Adding to this, a report on Reddit from earlier this year (via eXputer) highlighted a job listing that showed Tencent's TiMi Studios was working on a number of new games based on job listings. One of these new items was Need for Speed Online Mobile; that suggests this video may be showing gameplay from that project.

Unfortunately, we don't have much more in the way of information beyond this leak; as always, take a video like this with a grain of salt. If these rumors prove true, we may very well see a new Need for Speed mobile game launching alongside Need for Speed 2022 sometime this year.
