Nintendo Indie World Showcase

Nintendo just broadcasted its Indie World Showcase, providing news and reveals for indie fans.

The broadcast, which was teased yesterday, included a look at plenty of independent games coming to Nintendo Switch (and some of them to other platforms as well) over the next few months.

We start with the super-cute Japanese-styled narrative adventure game Mineko's Night Market by Meowza Games, releasing on September 26, 2023.

Next, we hear from Pathea Games from China, showing off My Time at Sandrock, the sequel to My Time at Portia. It's coming on Nintendo Switch this summer.

For those who love cooking simulation, PlateUp! by Yogscast Games brings some rogue-lite action and prompts you to keep your customers happy during randomly generated shifts. It's coming in October 2023 and if you're wondering, it's multiplatform.

Monster Crunch presented Quilts and Cats of Calico, an adaptation of the board game Calico. It's coming in the fall of 2023.

Brace Yourself Games presented the rhythm game Rift of the NecroDancer, a stand-alone spin-off of the popular Crypt of the Necrodancer. The wait won't be too long as it's coming this year.

Bigmode provided a new look at the upcoming pixel-art game Animal Wellcoming in early 2024.

The puzzle exploration game Crime O'Clock by Bad Seed was also showcased, and it's coming on June 30, 2023, for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.

Rain Games presented the Teslagrad sequel Teslagrad 2, which will release on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One... later today alongside Teslagrad Remaster.

Shadows Over Loathing by Asymmetric is also launching today, but only digitally. A physical release is coming this fall.

The Game Kitchen presented the first look at the action-platformer Blasphemous II, the sequel to Blasphemous and coming this summer for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Next is Oxenfree II: Lost Signals by Night School Studio. The sequel of the super-popular Oxenfreee is coming July 12, 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, and PC, with pre-orders starting today.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk by Team Reptile got a release date for Nintendo Switch and PC, and it's coming on August 18, 2023.
