Polish indie studio Shockwork Games has announced its debut title. Alder's Blood is a turn-based tactical stealth game coming to PC and Nintendo Switch later this year.

The world of Alder's Blood is a mixture of Victorian steampunk fantasy and the Wild West. You play as a Hunter, humanity's last hope against the deluge of monsters threatening to wipe them out. As a Hunter, it's your role to carefully plan your attack and take your environment into account. You'll need to watch everything from monster positioning to wind direction and even your own scent if you're to have a hope of succeeding. You can check out the teaser trailer for Alder's Blood below:

The teaser shows off the game's pencil-sketch aesthetic and some of its gameplay. The tactical turn-based stealth in Alder's Blood will pit you against a variety of monsters. From vampires to werewolves, each monster will have unique skills and abilities that you'll need to consider as you fight. You'll have to monitor your characters' energy levels and deal with whatever this world's corrupted God throws at you. Shockwork says you could be dealing with changing weather conditions one minute and new enemies the next.

Outside of combat, you'll be able to explore the dark and immersive world of Alder's Blood. You'll move from place to place, keeping your mobile base stocked with resources and managing your hunting party. Every location is potentially dangerous, so you'll have to watch for ambushes. There's a crafting system, allowing you to make new equipment and tools for your hunters. This looks like one to watch if you enjoy games like Invisible, Inc., and XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

Alder's Blood will launch for PC and Nintendo Switch later this year. Shockwork says further console releases will follow "at a later date".
