Today developer MS Games released a new video of its upcoming simulation game AirportSim.
The video is a developer diary in which studio head Mateusz Stabryła provides a high-level overview of the game and of the process behind its creation.
We get to see some of the tasks that we'll perform in this rather unique title that inverts the usual roles, placing the player in the shoes and reflective vest of a ground handler treading the challenges of an airport's apron.
You can watch it below.
It's worth mentioning that a demo is already playable, providing a look at a tutorial scenario at the remote Vágar Airport in the Faroe Islands, including the demonstrations of the game's mechanics on the Boeing 737 MAX-8 airliner. These activities include securing an aircraft after arrival at the gate, ground power hook-up procedures, passenger stairs docking procedures, and baggage de-loading.
It's worth mentioning that Microsoft Flight Simulator users may find some of the environments very familiar, as MS Games is working with popular scenery creator MK Studios, which has made some of the airports included in the game.
Besides Vágar, the final game will include Keflavik Airport, Warsaw Chopin Airport, and Key West Airport, with more to come via DLC. The Airbus A320 Neo will also be available to handle.
AirportSim is releasing in Q3 2023 for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
