Last year Triumph Studios released the third game in its Age of Wonders series, a strategy based, 4X RPG which places you in one of several procedural fantasy world maps which you try to seize by force. Age of Wonders III was a critical success and to mark the anniversary since its release Triumph Studios have now released the Eternal Lords expansion pack along with a port to OSX for the original title.

This latest DLC which is priced at $20 comes with a huge amount of new content and will certainly please fans of the game. They have introduced 2 new races: the Frostlings who have good seafaring and offensive fighting abilities as well as frost magic and the Tigrans who are fast paced shapeshifters skilled in the art of necromancy.

That being said the Eternal Lords DLC also includes the new Necromancer class which gives player the power over undead units. A new Race Governance system has also been included adding a new layer to the strategy of each campaign. Players now have to consider the race of the city which they plan to dominate as conquering a race with negative feelings towards your empire can lead to revolt.

As well as this, Eternal Lords also features a new campaign mode, various new items and specializations as well as Cosmic Happenings which are equal to natural disasters.

For those interested in Age of Wonders III now is the perfect time to try it out. Not only has it been recently ported, but it is currently on sale on Steam for just $13.50 until April 17th. The Deluxe Edition DLC and the Golden Realms DLC are also on sale for this time for $5.35 and $7.90 respectively.

TechRaptor has been lucky enough to get its hands on the new Eternal Lords DLC, so keep an eye out for a review of this product shortly.
