Fast-paced action platformer Pizza Titan Ultra launches on Steam tomorrow (April 25th).

The news came via a press release given by developers Breakfall, who are also publishing the game on Steam. According to Breakfall, Pizza Titan Ultra sees players take control of "a fully customizable mech that also happens to be a 10-storey mobile pizzeria." Players must "fight [their] way through the city delivering [their] delicious, and sometimes strange, pizzas" while avoiding the villainous Cheezborg and his army of cheezbot minions.

Gameplay-wise, the game is described by its developer as a "fast paced 3rd-person action platformer wearing a 90s aesthetic and the colours of Saturday morning cartoons." Players will be tasked with delivering pizzas to "a cast of 80s and 90s inspired citizens," according to the press release. Here's a trailer for Pizza Titan Ultra that shows off some of the gameplay mechanics, as well as the game's 90s-inspired aesthetic:

The Steam page for the game promises "arcadey action with speedy attacking and dodging" as players "[attempt] to control the massive weight of a 10 storey mobile pizzeria." A few more features players can expect from Pizza Titan Ultra:

  • 32 pizza delivery missions in 8 different zones
  • Customisable mech with unlockable parts and custom paint jobs
  • Destructible environments with missions tailored to this feature
  • Replayable missions with randomised enemy spawns and delivery locations
Owners of Breakfall's previous game, 80s-inspired "local multiplayer space narwhal fighting game" Starwhal, will receive 50% off when they purchase Pizza Titan Ultra via Steam. Everyone else can expect to pick up the game for $17.99 when it hits Steam tomorrow. There's no word yet on whether Pizza Titan Ultra will be available for consoles or whether it's a PC exclusive, so stay tuned for more news on this if and when it arrives.
