FusionPlay has announced an Across the Valley release date, letting us know when we can play this adorable-looking VR farming sim. The game is launching on both PC and PS5 via PS VR2 on April 6th, so it won't be much longer before you can immerse yourself in your agricultural empire.
Across the Valley's stated aim is to bring the farming sim closer to you, so that rather than sifting through menus, you're doing all of the farm work with your own hands (minus the dirt and grime that comes with such work in real life, of course). You'll tend to livestock, grow and nurture crops, and expand your farm, just like in other farming sims, only this time you're actually there, doing it all yourself with your own hands.
As you grow your crops and tend to your livestock, you can use the products you create to make a profit and expand your farm, building more and better facilities for your operations. Of course, you can choose to specialize wherever you like; will you focus largely on growing crops, or will your farming empire tend more towards livestock? That's all up to you.
FusionPlay is promising "state-of-the-art levels of immersion" thanks to Across the Valley's hand-drawn art style. The soundtrack for the game was created by Dynamedion, whose name you might recognize from games like Mortal Kombat 11 and the Hitman: World of Assassination trilogy. Of course, Dynamedion's soundtrack for this game promises to be a lot more relaxing than their work on those titles.
Across the Valley launches for PC via SteamVR, as well as PlayStation 5 via PS VR2, on April 6th. FusionPlay says that the game will also be released on "other VR platforms" later in the year, so make sure to keep an eye on TechRaptor for more info about that.
