Project Aces released another of its awesome music videos that fans of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War and of the Ace Combat series in general will most likely appreciate.
The video features a completely rearranged performance of the legendary track "Zero" from the acclaimed flight combat game, performed by an exceptional cast. Composer Keiki Kobayashi plays the piano, well-known guitarist Masahiro Itami is at the guitar, and Kyoka Wada performs the vocals. If her name isn't familiar to you, she performed "Daredevil" in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.
You can listen below. As usual, it's a fantastic performance that put a smile on my face. The music has always been one of the best aspects of the Ace Combat franchise and this is no exception.
The video is the fifth of the "Music Beyond the Sky" series showcasing the franchise's soundtracks performed by famous musicians. It follows more videos featuring Fire Youngman from Ace Combat 2, "A Brand New Day" from Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, "Magic Spear" from Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, and "Epilogue: Near The Border" from Ace Combat Zero.
If you're unfamiliar with the series, the latest game Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is currently available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game has revitalized the franchise after a long time under the radar, and has sold over 4 million copies as of November 2022. It recently celebrated the fourth anniversary of its release a few weeks ago.
A new game is in development in partnership with ILCA, but we don't know much about the game just yet besides the utilization of Unreal Engine 5. We're still eagerly waiting for new information, and hopefully, Bandai Namco will open the floodgates soon enough.
